OMA INTRODUCES TV TO CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
The Ontario Medical Association launched a province-wide campaign this week to remind Ontarians that doctors are working to improve the health care system in the province. The 30-second ad tells people that physicians are a stabilizing influence in a changing health care system. It tells them that doctors are working with hospitals, other health care professionals and the government to find solutions to problems in the system to best meet the needs of patients. The ad features OMA president Dr. William Orovan. The TV ad is the second phase of a campaign that was launched in December 1997 using newspaper ads. The theme for both phases is, "Where do Ontario's doctors stand? With their patients." The TV ad was created by the OMA in conjunction with consultants.
