WAL-MART SIGNS A B.U.M DEAL TO SELL CLOTHING LINE
By Adnews Staff
Wal-Mart Canada of Mississauga, Ont. has made a B.U.M deal. The national retailer has signed an exclusive agreement to sell B.U.M Equipment branded clothing in its stores. Until now, B.U.M Equipment was sold at department, specialty and independent clothing stores. Some clothing from the B.U.M casualwear line will appear on Wal-Mart shelves beginning later this fall, but most items will be available early next year. Wal-Mart public relations director Andrew Pelletier told Adnews last week that B.U.M clothing will sell for up to 40% less than it did at department, specialty and independent clothing stores. The retailer will promote the line using print ads and in-store signs created in-house, as well as through TV ads handled by Publicis SMW of Toronto.
