SUBWAY JOINS FORCES WITH THE KOOL-AID MAN

U.S.-based Kraft Foods has teamed up with Subway Restaurants of Milford, Connecticut in a North American promotion of Kraft's Kool-Aid drink and Subway's Kids' Pak meal. Under the deal, purchasers of a Kids' Pak between Sept. 21 and Oct. 25 will receive a Kool-Aid-themed toy, a 2-quart envelope of Kool-Aid unsweetened drink mix and a catalog. The toys included in the Pak are: an activity cup and sticker sheet, Kool-Aid mug and connector straws. The catalog will feature Kool-Aid-themed toys that children can purchase when they collect points found on Kool-Aid products. The promotion will be supported using point-of-purchase materials created by Publicis Hal Riney & Partners Advertising of San Francisco. There is also a TV commercial available to franchisees, with each individual store being responsible for the media placement and buy.
