CANON INTRODUCES EYE CONTROLLED FOCUS CAMERA

U.S.-based Canon Inc. has launched a new camera in the North American market that features an eye-controlled autofocus system. Called the EOS-3, the 35mm single lens reflex camera features 45 focusing points using a CMOS sensor chip and a new Area AF optical system. All focusing points are linked directly to Canada's eye-controlled autofocus system and a 21-zone metering system to provide sharp pictures. Canon says that the most focusing available on other 35mm cameras is five. In Canada, Canon doesn't have any current advertising plans for the EOS-3. Canadian advertising for the company is handled by Lackey Communications of Mississauga, Ont.
