LEVI AND MARKS WORK WEARHOUSE TO FOCUS ON DOCKERS LINE

Levi Strauss & Co. (Canada) Inc. of Richmond Hill, Ont. has teamed up with Mark's Work Wearhouse of Calgary to open Dockers retail stores in Canada. Four test outlets will open next August with two in Toronto, one in Calgary and another in a smaller market. The test stores will operate for one year before the duo begins to open more outlets. Levi and Mark's hope to open 150 Dockers stores across Canada. The outlets will be located in major malls and in street locations in major markets. The stores will be about 3,000 square feet in size. They will sell Levi's line of Dockers sportswear, which includes pants, shoes, belts and shirts. Mark's Work Wearhouse will own the stores and will have the rights to open and operate the Dockers stores in Canada. Advertising for the outlets will be created by Harrod & Mirlin/FCB of Toronto, Levi's agency.
