SEARS TO SELL MAYTAG PRODUCTS

Sears Canada Inc. of Toronto will begin selling Maytag appliances in October. The brand will be available in Sears' 109 retail stores, more than 85 authorized dealer stores, Sears Whole Home Furniture stores and through its national catalogue. Sears will carry a range of Maytag appliances including washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators and free standing gas and electric ranges. Sears will promote the line using print, TV and radio ads. The print ads will be created in-house, while the TV and radio commercials will be handled by Young & Rubicam of Toronto.
