COREL OFFERS TWO NEW PROGRAMS

Corel Corp. of Ottawa will introduce two new programs to the worldwide market next month. The software is called Corel Gallery 1,000,000 and CorelDRAW 8 for Power Macintosh. Corel Gallery features a collection of 1,000,000 clipart images, photos, fonts and Web images. In addition, it includes Corel Photo House 2.1, the WebSpice Collection of clipart and a new 32-bit image browser and search engine to find items quickly. Corel Photo House lets users import and edit scanned images as well as those included in the program's CD-ROM library. CorelDRAW 8 will be available with a special rebate in conjunction with the launch of Apple Computer's new iMac machine. Until Oct. 31, all owners of graphics, illustration or painting software will be able to purchase the program for an introductory price of $99 after mail-in rebate. Anyone who buys an iMac computer will be able to purchase CorelDRAW 8 for $49(US) after mail-in rebate. In Canada, Corel will promote the programs using print ads created in-house.
