M&M MOVES INTO NEWFOUNDLAND

M&M Meat Shops of Kitchener, Ont. has gone coast-to-coast. The frozen food chain recently opened its first store in Newfoundland. Located in St. John's, the store features over 300 products, ready for the oven, barbecue or microwave. Products include chateaubriand for two, family-size lasagna, soup, vegetables, party foods, desserts, steaks, chicken breasts and fish fillets. Local advertising for M&M stores is handled by individual franchisees. National advertising is handled by Vickers & Benson Advertising of Toronto, while PR is done by Warwick & Associates, also of Toronto. M&M operates 245 locations across Canada. It plans to open another 33 outlets next year, including 15 in Western Canada and eight in Quebec.
