Rainer Paduch has joined WindDance Networks Corp. of Ottawa as president and CEO. Most recently he was founder of iSTAR Internet of Ottawa. There, he held the position of chief technical officer and vice-chairman. Paduch replaces Cuong Vu, who has been appointed engineering vice-president. WindDance Networks is a start-up company specializing in the development of distributed Web site management software. Kathie Macmillan has been named chair of the Print Measurement Bureau. She is marketing vice-president at The Bank of Montreal and has sat on the PMB board for six years. Macmillan replaces Graham Morris who stepped down as chairman in June. Morris is English language publishing president at Telemedia. Patrick Murphy is now at Toronto-based LANSource Technologies as chief operating officer. Previously he worked at Tee-Comm Electronics of Milton, Ont. Murphy has also worked at Samsung Electronics Canada, Compression Labs, Dell Computer Corp., Northern Telecom and Xerox. Laas Turnbull is at Shift magazine as editor in chief. Formerly he was senior editor at Report on Business. Shift is a lifestyle magazine with a focus on media, entertainment and technology.
