STORE OFFERS SWEETS TO DIABETICS AND HEALTH WATCHERS

A new store has opened in Edmonton that will satisfy the sweet tooth of people who can't have sweets. Called Sinless Sweets, the privately-owned outlet sells chocolates and candies that are made with hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, a new sweetener, as well as jams that are sweetened with apple juice. The treats are geared to people who are diabetic or who are on restrictive diets. Owner Jason Tymchuk told Adnews yesterday he wants to expand the business over the next couple of years and hopes to eventually have stores throughout Western Canada. The products are also sold through the store's Web site. Sinful Sweets is being promoted using transit and print ads, as well as media relations. The ads were created by the media outlets running the ads.
