The Leukemia Research Fund of Canada is trying to raise awareness of the importance of funding leukemia research. The organization recently launched a national campaign uses outdoor, transit, print, TV and radio spots created by the Chris Hughes Company of Toronto. 3-D Audio Pictures of Toronto produced the radio ads. The ads highlight the success stories that are the direct result of leukemia reset. The campaign focuses on two young sisters, one of whom is now leukemia-free thanks to bone marrow donated by her sibling. One of the TV ads feature the sisters while the other has Global News anchor Peter Kent on-camera talking about how his family was affected by leukemia. There is also a corporate promotional video. The goal of the campaign is to attract donations from corporations and individuals. The communications plan was developed by NextMedia of Toronto.
