Unilever PLC is moving into online advertising under its agreement with The Microsoft Network of Online Services. Under the multi-year deal, Unilever will advertise on Microsoft Web sites and the two companies will work together to investigate and develop new appraoches to online advertising. In Canada, Unilever will be involved with Microsoft Network Canada. Microsoft's Web sites include: Hotmail, MSN Newsview, MSN Financial Centre, Expedia travel service, Internet Gaming Zone and Microsoft Investor. Unilever markets consumer products such as laundry detergents, dish soaps, personal soaps and hair care products. Canadian advertising for Unilever is created by several agencies including J. Walter Thompson, Ogilvy & Mather, Ammirati & Puris/Lintas and MacLaren McCann, all of Toronto.
