CONSUMERSFIRST MOVES EAST

Toronto-based Consumersfirst opened its first Ontario store earlier this month. Called the Consumersfirst Store, the outlet is located in Ancaster and is 7,300 square feet in size. It sells supplies for home improvement projects such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, water heating, filtration and conditioning systems, gas appliances, fireplaces, heaters, barbecues, windows, doors, kitchens, bathrooms, gas and electric appliance installation and maintenance. Currently, Consumersfirst is finalizing ad plans for the store. It will be created in-house. Consumersfirst opened its first store in November 1997 in Coquitlam, B.C. Since then four stores have been added in the Vancouver area. Cossette Communication-Marketing's Vancouver office creates ads for the B.C. stores, while Genesis Media's Vancouver office handles the media portion of the account. Consumersfirst is the sister company of Consumers Gas.
