REVERE TEAMS UP WITH TELUS
By Adnews Staff
Revere Communications Inc. of Calgary has signed a deal with Telus Communications Inc. of Calgary to promote and distribute prepaid calling cards for Telus. Revere president Pierre Van Neste told Adnews last week that the cards will be promoted using advertising and co-branding with other companies. Revere hasn't decided who will handle advertising for the cards, but Van Neste said it will likely hire a few agencies to handle different aspects of the advertising. For example, it would hire one agency to handle direct marketing and another to handle advertising. The first card will be launched at the end of the month. Revere has also signed two other agreements with Telus. The first is an Interactive Voice Response platform agreement, making Revere the supplier of newly developed TELUS prepaid calling card traffic. The second agreement is a revised Memorandum of Understanding to provide guidance to both parties as they develop and investigate opportunities in the prepaid calling card industry. A joint management committee has been set up with equal representation from both companies to facilitate growth and develop the relationship between the two companies.
