BELL MOBILITY OFFERS PREPAID SERVICE

Toronto-based Bell Mobility added two new services to its cellular service this week. The new options are a Prepaid Service and Mobility Out of the Box. Under the Prepaid Service, customers can pay for all cellular services in advance including airtime, long distance and cellular access. To use the service, customers activate any analog phone and a $30 start-up fee is deposited into their account. Each time a customer makes or receives a call, the cost of the minutes used is automatically deducted from the account. When it reaches zero, the customer buys more cards in denominations of $25, $35 or $50 from a Bell Mobility dealer or retailer. Customers dial the numbers 3-2-1 from their Prepaid phone and input the card number to top up their account. The Prepaid Service will be promoted in Toronto using transit ads and print ads in urban weekly newspapers such as NOW magazine and eye weekly. The campaign will be created by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Toronto. Under the Mobility Out of the Box service, customers can purchase an analog or PCS phone that can be activated when they want, where they want. When they want to use the phone they will use the Prepaid Service.
