SOCCER FEVER HITS CHINA

China is showing its enthusiasm for the World Cup in Paris even though its team didn't make it there. At the largest shopping mall in Beijing there is a stand erected at the entrance that exclusively sells World Cup products. The items include a mini-football, watches engraved with the golden trophy, pens with the World Cup logo and the official mascot, a bright blue furry French chicken. World Cup sponsor Coca-Cola of Atlanta has joined in the festivities by creating a large structure in the shape of the Eiffel Tower. It is made entirely of Coke cans and is placed in a Beijing shopping mall. Hotels are also in the game by promoting the games being seen on their in-bar TV screens.
