NEC OFFERS NEW PRINTER

U.S.-based NEC Corp. introduced a new printer to the North American market this week. Called the SuperScript 870, the product prints eight pages-per-minute at 600 dots-per-inch. It features 2MB of RAM, upgradeable to 16MB and an optional 500-sheet second paper tray. In Canada, NEC is still in the process of finalizing its advertising plans for the SuperScript 870, but it will likely use co-op newspaper advertising with retailers. Advertising is created by Hill Holliday of Boston. Canadian PR is done by High Road Communications of Toronto.
