CAB FORMS BOARD FOR SPECIALTY SERVICES

The Canadian Association of Broadcasters has formed a new board to represent the interests of the association's specialty, pay and pay-per-view members. CITY-TV vice-president and general manager Mark Rubinstein will chair the new board. "We have expanded CAB's role to benefit all of our members and to reflect the convergence that is occurring in our industry," says CAB president and CEO Michael McCabe. "Creating the specialty board now allows us to take full advantage of the synergies amongst our members' businesses and amongst the three boards." CAB is governed by a joint board, which draws representatives from separate radio and television boards. Four new directors will represent specialty interests on the joint board. They will report back to, and sit on, the specialty board, which will be composed of up to 11 other specialty members.
