LEAVE YOUR CAR AT GO STATIONS WITH A SECURITY BLANKET
By Adnews Staff
Canadian Automobile Association, Peel Regional Police and GO Transit have teamed up to introduce a special window decal for people who drive their cars to GO Transit stations. The bright yellow triangle with a red letter C in the middle tells police that a car with this decal is not normally driven between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday to Friday. If a car with this decal driven during these times is seen by police the car will be pulled over and the car over and check the driver's licence and registration. The decal is modeled after the CAA's Commuter-Combat Auto Theft program which proved to be an effective measure in detering car theft. The decal is free-of-charge and will be available by the end of this month at all GO Train stations and Newmarket bus terminals.
