MAGAZINES TO SELL MAGAZINES

Magazines Canada announced the launching of a new advertising campaign which targets magazine readers by demonstrating the value of consumer magazines to advertisers. The campaign will consist of six executions using the theme "Magazines: Involving, Absorbing, Rewarding." The campaign will use illustration to demonstrate how magazines involve readers and come to life in very personal ways. According to a release, the advertisements demonstrate how magazines are a "good read" and how magazines are a vital source of relevant information and new ideas about products and the world around them. The advertisements, designed by Dennis Bruce of Toronto-based Mindset Creative Planning, started to appear last week in magazines such as Saturday Night Magazine, Readers Digest and Today's Parent. According to Magazines Canada, the campaign should last to the end of the year.
