DVD IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND

Toronto-based Panasonic has announced it released the smallest portable digital video disk player. The DVD-L10 weighs only 0.9 kilograms, has a built in 5.8 inch widescreen LCD monitor, an infrared remote control and is able to deliver Dolby Digital 5.1 channel surround sound. According to Panasonic's public relations firm, HR&A Porter Novelli, the DVD player was released to the market last week. The advertising will be handled by Toronto's Chiat/Day. The product will be supported using print ads - with the first one running in The Globe & Mail the 27th of this month. June 5th will mark the beginning of advertisements shown before feature films on Famous Players screens. The advertisements are targeted at techno-savy males, aged 35 to 50.
