Global Television announced Thursday that over 2 million people aged 2 plus watched the series finale of Seinfeld. It posted a 34.4 rating in the adults 18 to 49 category in the critical Hamilton/Toronto marketplace, according to Nielsen research statistics. In comparison, it tied the 1998 Academy Awards broadcast with a 34 rating in the same category and the Superbowl attracted 1.7 million viewers in Ontario.
The series ended an eight-year run of being one of the consistently top-ten weekly evening prime time television programs each week.
