ECONOMIC STUDY WILL MEASURE ROLE OF WHOLESALERS IN PERIODICAL, BOOK PUBLISHING

According to a release, the first comprehensive analysis of the contribution of the wholesale sector to success of publishers and retailers in marketing magazine and paperback books has been commissioned by Periodical Wholesalers of North America. Dr. Adam Fein, of Pembroke Consulting has been hired to conduct the study. He has worked with the wholesale sector, most recently authoring a report called Consolidation in Wholesale Distribution: Understanding Industry Change. This study is expected to encompass five sections, including: current status of the wholesale industry, services to suppliers and retailers, economic profile of periodical wholesalers, value and importance of the wholesale channel and how wholesalers can provide the greatest value in the future to retailers and publishers.
