XEROX RELEASES NEW PRINTER TO THE MARKET

XEROX CANADA of Toronto has released a new laser printer aimed at the small office and home office market. Called the DocuPrint P8, Xerox says it is one of the most inexpensive eight page-per-minute printers available. The printer is compatible with Windows. 3.x, Windows 95 and Windows NT. Its features include: "N-up" printing, which will allow the user to place 4 pages of information on one proof sheet, image enhancement and halftone printing, which will print up to 255 grays. In addition, the printer can be hooked up to two personal computers. Xerox is offering an introductory software bundle with the D8. The offer is good through June 30th and includes full versions of: Broderbund, ClickArt, Lotus Organizer 97 and McAfee VirusScan. The printer will be advertised using point-of-purchase displays in cooperation with retailers.
