Catherine Frank has been promoted from vice-president and group account director at Palmer Jarvis DDB, Canada of Toronto, to vice-president and client services director. Frank has also worked at Grey Advertising, Leo Burnett Co. and MacLaren McCann, all of Toronto. Gordon Shank has been named chief marketing officer at Levi Strauss & Co. of San Francisco. In his role, he will lead a team of global marketing professionals to build the company's brand. Most recently Shank was president of Levi Strauss, the Americas. Susan Murray has been appointed operations director at Young & Rubicam of Toronto. Formerly she was senior vice-president and director of people.
