GRAND & TOY GETS TECHY
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based office supplies retailer Grand & Toy has moved deeper into the technology business. The company bought Carlyle Computer Products of Winnipeg last year and has renamed the computer distribution company Grand & Toy Technology. The company will operate as a division of Grand & Toy. It will market imaging products, specialty data storage, output products, peripherals and accessories. In addition, it will offer advice on product purchasing and assistance with technical problems. Grand & Toy says it can now offer customers a one-stop shopping experience for all of its office and computer supplies. Grand & Toy bought Carlyle last May. Grand & Toy officials were unavailable to comment on advertising plans for the new division. Advertising for Grand & Toy is done by Doner Canada of Toronto.
