CO-OPERATORS GOES AFTER STUDENT MARKET

The Co-operators of Guelph, Ont. is targeting university students with its latest insurance program. Called Insurance 101, the product is available to members of the Canadian Campus Business Consortium, a group of Canadian student associations. It will offer members savings on property and auto insurance. The Co-operators wouldn't comment on how much of a savings it would be, stating that it would depend on the individual client. The auto insurance became available this week. The property insurance component will be launched in September. Insurance 101 will be promoted using campus newspapers, posters and counter cards. The campaign will be created by Wunderman Cato Johnson of Toronto. PR will be done by Cohn & Wolfe of Toronto. CCBC has over 300,000 members. There are over 1.4 million students enrolled in Canadian universities.
