ARTHRITIS SOCIETY PARTNERS WITH MACLEAN HUNTER

The Arthritis Society has handed over publishing responsibilities of its two quarterly magazines to Maclean Hunter Healthcare in hopes of increasing their profile and circulation. The two magazines are Arthritis News and its French-language counterpart ArthroExpress. The two are published four-times-a-year and have a average circulation of 20,000. Arthritis News and ArthroExpress are designed for people living with arthritis as well as their families. They offer articles on such topics as the latest research, coping mechanisms and services. The Arthritis Society will promote the magazines using ads in Maclean Hunter's healthcare publications. Currently they are available by paid subscription and through controlled circulation. Once the circulation of the publications increase, the Arthritis Society would like to sell the magazines via newsstands as well.
