IMPERIAL OIL DRIVES CUSTOMERS TO HAWAII

Imperial Oil Ltd. of Toronto is sending customers to Hawaii in its latest promotion that began earlier this month. Under the deal, customers swipe their Esso Extra card or Esso personal credit card when they make a purchase at a participating Esso station. Each swipe gives them an entry into the contest. For extra value, customers receive a bonus entry with every three swipes during each draw period. The contest runs until May 31. Each month, a grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to Hawaii, use of a 4X4 Jeep during their two-week stay, a private helicopter tour and Jeep TJ Sport vehicle upon their return. In addition, 1,000 participants will win $20 of Esso gas during each month of the contest. The contest is being promoted using national radio ads, as well as print ads in Ontario and the Prairies. The English-language campaign was created by Goodgoll Curtis of Toronto, while Communications bleu blanc rouge of Montreal handled the French-language radio ads. Imperial Oil launched its Esso Extra loyalty card last October.
