SAATCHI MOVES INTO QUEBEC
By Adnews Staff
Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising of Toronto will open a Montreal office at the end of this month. "The addition of an office in Montreal will enable us now to establish a real national presence," president Dick Olsen says in a release. Feedback from clients was also showing that it would be helpful to them if Saatchi had a Montreal office, Olsen told Adnews last week. Some agency clients, such as the Canadian Pulp & Paper Association, Gillette and CAE, are based in Montreal. "(The move) was logical for us to ensure a strong presence in the Quebec marketplace." The new office will be headed by Roberto Wilson, who will be taking the vice-president and creative director post. Previously he was French creative director at Saatchi's Toronto office. Robert Beaudoin will head strategic planning and client services. Most recently he operated his own consulting firm. Other Saatchi clients include: Procter & Gamble, Toyota Canada, Scudder Funds of Canada, Johnson & Johnson Merck, Walt Disney, Hewlett-Packard, Rothmans Benson & Hedges and Sporting Life. Saatchi opened a Vancouver office last fall.
