L'OREAL TAKES BEAUTY FROM THE SEA

New York-based L'Oreal launched a new line of skincare products to the North American market earlier this month. Called Dead Sea, the line consists of 12 products including: mud cleansing gel, purifying mud mask, eye oil, all-night renewal cream, body moisturizer, bath salts and foot repair cream. The products are enriched with essential minerals extracted from the Dead Sea. L'Oreal plans to roll out the Natural Sea line internationally over the course of 1998 including France, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Marketel of Montreal has launched a North American magazine campaign for the products. The agency will also be responsible for international advertising, including media buying.
