YALE LOCKS INTO RESIDENTIAL MARKET
By Adnews Staff
Yale of Atlanta will return to the residential security business in North America by May. In Canada, the company will sell its locks via retailers such as Canadian Tire and Home Depot. The line will include an assortment of handle sets, knobs, levers and deadbolts. The locks will be promoted using co-op advertising with retailers. The advertising will be created by the Creative Approach Group and Tatum, Toomey, Whicker, both of North Carolina. Yale exited the residential security business 15 years ago and focused on the heavy industry and commercial market. It moved out of the residential business because it didn't have a large enough distribution channel, marketing director Dan Kennard told Adnews yesterday.
