AMERICANS ARE LOYAL TO THEIR SODA

American consumers are very loyal to products they consume or use on a daily basis, according to Predatory Marketing of New York. Consumers show the most loyalty to their brands of soft drinks, followed by insurance, hair products and bath soap. Health and beauty aids round out the top five highest-rated products. Insurance made it close to the top because consumers are loyal to their agent who gives them personal service. In addition, when people are canceled by auto insurers and do obtain coverage, they feel a loyalty to stay with the company that was willing to assume the risk of insuring them. Generally, a private label brand must be priced at least 25% less in order for a consumer to make a switch from their preferred brand. However, when it comes to private-label, over-the-counter medicine such as pain relievers, consumers believe they are safe. Over 60% of consumers say that brand names are the best way to determine the quality of a product. Other products making the list regarding consumer loyalty were: cars and trucks, coffee, mayonnaise, laundry products, over-the-counter medicines and pain relievers, as well as toilet paper.
