By Adnews Staff
CANTAX of Calgary introduced the 1998 version of its income tax software to the national market this week. Called CANTAX 98, the program features Interview Plus, which will take users from the basic T4 slip for individuals to a small business situation to create a customized scenario for various tax situations. CANTAX also comes with a multimedia CD featuring tax expert Evelyn Jacks, tax tips and a step-by-step guide on completing a tax return. The software includes more than 90 Revenue Canada forms, schedules and information slips, and an expanded tax planner, which allows users to view multiple tax planning scenarios simultaneously. The program can process multiple numbers of some Revenue Canada forms including business schedules and information slip entries. In addition, CANTAX includes a module for users who are unfamiliar with using the software and an E-File option so users can submit their return electronically. CANTAX is being promoted using an insert in magazines such as Readers' Digest. The campaign was created by Highwood Communications of Calgary. The Communications Group of Toronto is handling PR.
