NESTLE TO OFFER QUICKIE DINNERS

Toronto-based Nestle Canada will launch a line of frozen dinner kits to the national market by March that it says are like eating a restaurant meal at home. Called Stouffer's Complete Dinner Stir-Kits, the line features six stir fry varieties: Thai Beef, Szechuan Beef, Shangai Chicken, Seafood Paella, Santa Fe Mesquite and Chicken Primavera. The dinners can be made in 10 minutes using one pan. Stouffer's Complete Dinner Stir-Kits will be promoted using radio ads beginning in March in the Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver markets. In-store events and point-of-purchase materials will also be used. Advertising for Nestle is done by Publicis SMW, while the Retail Performance Group will handle in-store events and ActMedia will create in-store materials. All agencies are based in Toronto.
