JOURNEY'S END CHANGES NAME

Journey's End Corp. of Mississauga, Ont. has changed its name to UniHost Corp. effective this week. The move was made to reflect the company's transition from a corporation that operates hotels under the Journey's End brand to a management company that represents various brands in Canada and the Caribbean. In October, UniHost, as well as Hotels and Resorts Ltd. of Barbados, announced a long-term hotel management agreement initially involving five small hotels. The first two brands to be introduced are Latitude 12 Barbados and Time Out. Earlier this year, Journey's End acquired Commonwealth Hospitality Ltd. UniHost will operate two divisions: its established domestic division and a new Caribbean resort management division. The company also plans to operate hotels in The Bahamas, The Cayman Islands, Turks and Caicos, the English-speaking Windward & Leeward Islands from St. Kitts and Antigua to Tobago, Cuba, The Dominican Republic, south-east Mexico and parts of Central America.
