FRUIT OF THE LOOM CHOOSES U.S. AGENCY

Warwick Baker O'Neill of New York has been chosen to handle advertising for Fruit of the Loom of Bowling Green, Kentucky. The agency won the business after a competition with Mezzina/Brown of New York and Lois/EJL of Chicago. Fruit of the Loom officials were unavailable to comment on how advertising will be handled in Canada. The incumbent, Leo Burnett Co. of Toronto, had been handling North American advertising for the company until October when it resigned the business because of "differences in creative philosophy."
