MORTON'S HEADS NORTH

Morton's Restaurant Group of New Hyde Park, New York will bring its Morton's of Chicago steakhouse to the Canadian market during the second quarter of next year. The upscale restaurant will be located in Toronto and will specialize in classic American cuisine such as USDA Prime aged beef, fresh fish, lobster, veal and chicken entrees. The restaurant will feature dark woods, subdued lighting, white tablecloths, photos of celebrities and LeRoy Neiman limited-edition serigraphs and prints. There will also rooms available for private dining and meetings that will accommodate up to 90 people. Advertising for Morton's in Canada will be done by Elias Savoil of Pittsburgh. The company hasn't decided on its advertising plans yet, but in the U.S. it promotes the restaurants in business newspapers and magazines. This is Morton's second international location. It also plans to open a restaurant in Singapore. Morton's operates 38 restaurants in the U.S.
