NEWAD BOOSTS PRESENCE
By Adnews Staff
NewAd Media of Toronto has increased the national coverage of its indoor billboard network. The company has bought Captive Concepts of Vancouver, a company with advertising faces in bars, restaurants, nightclubs and health and fitness clubs in British Columbia and Alberta. The move adds another 1,200 advertsing faces to NewAd's portfolio, bringing its total to 9,000. The deal boosts the company's presence in Vancouver, adds Victoria as a new market and adds health and fitness club locations in Calgary and Edmonton. In addition, NewAd recently opened a 300-location indoor billboard network in the Montreal area.
Separately, Geoff Taylor has joined the company as sales vice-president. Most recently he was national account manager at Merchant Media.
NewAd Media sells advertising space on posters in bars and restaurants, colleges and universities and health and fitness clubs, reaching the 18 to 34-year-old market.
