ROM TO SEEK AGENCY
By Adnews Staff
The Royal Ontario Museum and Bates Canada of Toronto have parted ways, leaving the account up for grabs. ROM marketing communications head Trilby Bittle says in a press release that the museum is in the middle of an intense strategic planning process and would rather work with agencies on a project basis, rather than make a long-term commitment, until it needs in an agency. Bittle told Adnews yesterday that she had an agency in mind to handle projects, but wouldn't name the agency until she had talked to the firm. Once a strategic plan is in place, the ROM will do a full agency search with the assistance of the Advertising Review Board. A new agency should be in place by July 1, 1998. The ROM is an agency of the Ontario government.
