CORBY TAKES CAMPAIGN TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Corby Distilleries of Montreal will beef up its ad campaign for its Wiser's rye next month with in-store promotions leading up to Christmas. The materials play on the brand's 140 year history. They also introduce Wiser's items that can be bought from Corby such as a firewood box, pocket flask, shot glass, pocket watch, a water pitcher and long johns. Liquor store visitors can win the firewood box by mailing in coupons or entering an in-store draw. Corby launched the outdoor portion of the campaign in major Ontario and Alberta markets earlier this month, while the print campaign in national and Western publications was launched in September. Harrod & Mirlin of Toronto created the campaign. Promotional material was done by the Marketing & Promotion Group of Toronto and the Wiser's packaging and labels were designed by Russell Design of Toronto. Dumas Bergen Inc. of Montreal is doing PR. Corby markets a range of domestically produced and imported spirits and wines including Canadian Club, Wiser's De Luxe, Ballantine's, Lamb's rums, Kahlua, Courvoisier, Moet & Chandon champagnes, Bochot and Calvet wines. Corby is affiliated with Allied Domecq PLC.
