OMNI ENTERS SHOPPING MALL

Omni, the Outdoor Company of Montreal has gone into a Toronto shopping centre. The outdoor company is now selling advertising space on vinyl banners at the Eaton's Centre. There are six banners available that are 33-feet by 31-feet in size. Omni vice-president and general manager told Adnews yesterday that the size of the banners are equivalent to 1,600 magazine ads. He is also looking at installing banners at other malls in Canada. Advertisers signed up to use the medium include Bell Mobility, Birks, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Lancome, Les Miserables, Ralph Lauren Polo Sport and Timberland. Omni offers five outdoor products in Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia: horizontal and vertical billboards, superboards, OmniColumns and airport advertising posters. Omni is an affiliate of Radiomutuel, a communications company with interests in radio, television and outdoor advertising.
