IFAW LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN AGAINST SEAL HUNT
By Adnews Staff
The International Fund for Animal Welfare wants Canadians to get involved in fighting the commercial seal hunt. The organization launched a TV campaign last week denouncing the need for commercial seal hunting in Canada, and to call on Canadians to voice their concerns. The ads depict the brutality of the seal hunt and provide viewers with a 1-800 number that will allow them to join the fight against the commercial seal hunt. Print ads were launched earlier this month. The campaign is part of a project developed by IFAW called Canadians Against the Commercial Seal Hunt. The TV ads were created in-house by IFAW. The print ads were done by Anderson Advertising of Toronto. CATSCH consists of many prominent Canadians including author Timothy Findley, author and broadcaster Irshad Manji, musician Loreena McKennitt, lawyer Clayton Ruby and environmentalist Anthony Marr.
