SEARS CREATES LARGEST BOOK TO PROMOTE CATALOGUE

Sears Canada has developed what it believes to be its biggest catalogue to promote its 1997 Wish Book. The book is a replica of the catalogue, weighs 500 pounds, stands four feet tall and has 784 pages. Sears is putting the book on a Canada-wide tour, then will submit it to the Guinness Book of World Records. The regular-sized Wish Book is 40% larger than last years and will have a circulation of almost five million.
