COMPANY LAUNCHES E-MAIL PROGRAM, MAY SEEK AGENCY
By Adnews Staff
On-Line Film Services of Vancouver earlier this month introduced an e-mail program called Mailcard that runs off a floppy disk. The company plans to hire an agency in the next month to promote the software. Currently advertising is handled in-house. The company is also negotiating a contract with a national software distributor to provide 250,000 Mailcards to the educational market in Ontario. The program can write, edit, send and receive e-mail from any computer. The program is geared to people who don't own a computer, can't afford an Internet account and to those who travel a lot. On-Line Film Service wants to promote the software using an infomercial, computer papers and local newspapers.
