TOSHIBA RELEASES NOTEBOOK WITH LATEST INTEL PROCESSOR

Markham, Ont.-based Toshiba of Canada launched a new notebook computer this week that uses an Intel Corp. 233 MHz Pentium processor. Called the Tecra 750CDT, the computer's mobile processor offers a 40% increase in clock speed, while lowering the power consumption by 50%. In addition, it features a 13.3-inch, 16 million color display and a removable 4.77 gigabyte hard disk drive. An optional DVD-ROM is also available. Toshiba may integrate the 750CDT into advertising for its notebook computer ads in November. Advertising for Toshiba is done by Promanad Communications of Toronto.
