P&G PUTS DUNCAN HINES ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK
By Adnews Staff
Procter & Gamble of Cincinnati has put its Duncan Hines baking business up for sale, asking for more than $250 million(US). The move was made because the brand doesn't have global reach. P&G announced recently that it plans to double sales by the year 2005, relying heavily on international growth. The company's main focus will be in laundry, haircare, diapers and feminine hygiene. North American advertising for Duncan Hines is done by N.W. Ayer of New York.
