HARRY ROSEN LAUNCHES MAGAZINE
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based menswear retailer Harry Rosen is getting into the publishing game. On September 3 the company will launch harry, a twice-yearly 92-page glossy magazine of men's fashion. "To my knowledge, no one has attempted to provide information that would give the consumer constructive assistance in defining his own style by explaining the traditions of men's clothes and culture," said company president Harry Rosen. This magazine will attempt to fill that void while allowing "Harry to dialogue with his customers in the privacy of their homes through in-depth articles on craftsmanship, tailoring, fabric and service," as a release put it. Sixty-seven thousand copies of the magazine will be mailed directly to regular Harry Rosen customers. It will also be available at Chapters, Lichtman's, UCS and Maison de la Presse stores.
