Panasonic Canada Inc. has revamped its decade-old trademark billboard by the Gardiner Expressway in Toronto which featured that city's skyline. The 32' x 68' board now features creative for the Range 900 cordless telephone. The ad shows a man bungie jumping with the phone in his hand, together with the tagline "1200 feet without a cord", which is meant to emphasis the clarity and long range of the device. "Panasonic has considered the board its home for the past 10 years," said Ian Kilvert, director of corporate communications for Panasonic Canada. "The board's prime location has become an effective way of establishing the Panasonic name. Now we can truly maximize the effectiveness of the board and highlight product-specific creative." The ad was created by DDB Canada of Toronto. The board itself is owned and operated by Gallop & Gallop Advertising Inc. of Toronto.
