DOUBLCLICK MOVES INTO JAPAN

DoubleClick of New York will establish a subsidiary in Japan next month. Called DoubleClick Japan Inc., the Internet advertising network will consist of a collection of Web sites in the Japanese language designed to help advertisers in that market build one-to-one relationships with customers on the Web. The company is structured to help multinational advertisers target business opportunities both inside and outside of Japan. Services available through DoubleClick Japan include TestIt!, a program designed for testing banner creative within 48 hours; Spotlight, a service for tracking user activity beyond the banner and ClickBoosters, for automated placement of banners on those Web pages most likely to generate the highest response rates. By the end of 1997, DoubleClick will be operating in seven countries.
